When you were born, we got you a toy.
That toy was a gray, great white shark,
With the imprint of SeaWorld San Diego.
That was the toy that would become inseparable with you.
When you sleep in your room, it was by your side.
When you play, it was always in your hand.
When you go up the stairs, it was dragged up with you.
It’s been to restaurants, the mall, school, and the zoo with you.
You never let go of it when someone tries to take it.
And you suddenly had this newfound strength, and would jerk the toy back.
When it was broken, you cried and brought it at my feet.
But I had no idea how to fix, so I brought it to mom.
It was she who fixed it, and cleaned it up. She made it look brand new again.
Sweet-T, you’ve had that toy for nearly 2 years now,
Although you have other dog toys like a tiger, orca and snake,
You still show great love over that great white shark plush.
