Scarred Beauty

She just wants to be beautiful

She knows she is not suitable

She goes unnoticed,

And she thinks she’s the lowest

She knows no limits

Yet she always has a grimace

She craves attention,

She has confessions

It has never occurred

That the light is shining on her

It’s deeper than the eye can see

Just waiting for us to see it, you and me

She hurts inside

Not wanting us to find

So she tries to cover up her pain,

Thinking she’s gone insane,

‘Cause beauties don’t cry

Even when they realize they live in a world of lies

But there’s hope out there that’s waiting in the dark

And she should know that she is beautiful and has a special spark

And she doesn’t need to change herself

She needs to discover the beauty within herself

She doesn’t know that beauty comes from within

It seems like such a sin

She is struggling to find her way

She stumbles day to day

She is perfectly beautiful on the outside

She just needs more confidence and pride

Confidence comes from within

Then real happiness can begin
